Dear Friend:

The 20/20 Sisters of Vision invite you to join them in their 2020 Fall Fundraiser. COVID- 19 made it impossible for us to host our Annual Fundraising Tea this spring. Yet we are committed to helping alleviate the impact of this awful disease on the education of children of color.

In June 2020 the McKinsey Report noted how COVID-19 is exacerbating existing achievement gaps across racial lines and various income levels. It is estimated that students of color are likely to experience learning loss of between nine to twelve months if they are enrolled in virtual learning for this school year. In Durham County, North Carolina, all high school students are learning virtually this year.

Before COVID-19, adolescent parents experienced a high dropout rate. Unfortunately this disease has amplified that possibility. Thus 20/20 Sisters of Vision has partnered with H.E.A.R.T.S, a program in Durham, North Carolina, that educates and equips high school adolescent parents, and expectant parents, with the tools to complete high school, creating a greater opportunity for them to experience healthy independence.

Please join us in our goal of raising $2,500.00, by this December, as we help combat the detrimental affect of this disease on the academic development of our youth.

You may mail your contribution to 20/20 Sisters of Vision, 230 South Bend DriveDurham, North Carolina 27713, or donate through our website at 2020sov.org. You may also donate through Triangle Community Foundation, trianglecf.org, directing your donation to 20/20 Sisters of Vision.

Thank you for joining us, as we impact future generations.

With gratitude,
The 20/20 Sisters of Vision
