20/20 SOV Celebrate 2024 Black Philanthropy Month
Members of 20/20 Sisters of Vision Giving Circle celebrated Black Philanthropy Month during August with grants and donations to several local nonprofits and a small black-owned business. Grants were made to Planning Your Own Future (POOF), an after-school and summer program located in Durham, which focuses on entrepreneurship; No Woman, No Girl Initiative in Raleigh, which ensures Wake County girls and women overcoming transition or crisis have access to everyday essentials; and Curanopy Ministries, located in Durham, which provides a wide range of services to spiritual, organizational and social leaders and caregivers. Additionally, a donation was provided to Bourne To Film, which works with non-profits and local artists to create images that convey their unique stories and perspective.
